C# · ASYNC & CONCURRENCYIntermediate

How would you keep concurrent API calls fast without overwhelming a dependency?

THE IDEA

Asynchronous I/O avoids tying up a thread while a request waits. It does not make unlimited concurrency safe.

Bound the number of in-flight calls, propagate cancellation, and choose timeouts that fit the operation.

Question 4 of 20
Intermediate

How do cancellation and timeouts keep an API responsive?

A timeout sets a limit on how long to wait. Cancellation tells work that its result is no longer needed.

Pass a cancellation token through async calls. Stop unnecessary work when the request ends, and release resources even when an operation fails.

Consider the tradeoff

Choose timeout budgets that protect capacity without cutting off normal requests.

START WITH WHAT MATTERS

A long list of requirements.
A focused plan to study.

A role mentions a language, a framework, a database, and a dozen other things. Another interview prep checklist only makes the list longer.

RoleHello brings the relevant topics into one study workspace, with questions that help you explain the concepts behind the work.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Good questions.

Something else on your mind?
Talk to us.

What is RoleHello?

RoleHello is a technical interview preparation app built around a job description. It helps you identify the relevant technologies and study curated questions and answers for those topics.

Is this a coding interview or mock interview platform?

No. RoleHello focuses on technical knowledge and explaining how things work: languages, frameworks, architecture, databases, and production tradeoffs. It does not run coding exercises or live mock interviews.

Does AI generate a new question bank for every role?

No. AI helps analyze the job description. Your confirmed topics connect to a shared, curated catalog of questions and answers rather than a newly generated personal question bank.

Can I change the suggested topics?

Yes. You review the technical scope and can edit the suggested topic selection before you confirm it. A company name or role title alone does not define your study plan.

Which job description files can I use?

The app supports PDF and DOCX files up to 10 MiB. PDFs can contain up to 10 pages. You can also paste a job description as text.

Can I try a role for free?

Yes. The planned free introduction gives new users one role with up to 3 topics and 5 questions per topic: up to 15 questions to try the study experience.

What does Premium include?

Premium is planned at $10 per month with 5 roles included, contextual term explanations, and saved Lookup history. Daily lookup limits apply. You can also purchase individual roles without a Premium plan.
